Plantibodies Awarded €400,000 Innov’Up Leader PIA Grant from Région Île-de-France under France 2030

Paris, France – June 2023 – Plantibodies has been selected as a laureate of the Innov’Up Leader program from Région Île-de-France, as part of the national France 2030 plan, securing a €400,000 grant to accelerate its research and development activities.

This non-dilutive funding will allow Plantibodies to scale its plant-based bioproduction platform and advance its pipeline, aiming to address high-burden diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colorectal cancer (CRC) and infections.

The Innov’Up Leader program, supported by Bpifrance and the Programme d’Investissements d’Avenir (PIA), backs high-potential startups and SMEs that combine technological excellence with the capacity to respond to France’s industrial and health sovereignty challenges.

“This recognition under France 2030 is a strong validation of our mission,” said Pierre Bauër, CEO and co-founder of Plantibodies. “Thanks to the support of Région Île-de-France and Bpifrance, we can accelerate the development of our unique plant based biologics platform and contribute to building a competitive and sovereign therapeutic bioproduction ecosystem in France.”

This milestone reinforces Plantibodies’ trajectory after securing the French Tech Seed label, Bpifrance convertible notes, and growing interest from international pharma partners.
