Plantibodies Recognized as Top Deeptech Startup at HEC Challenge+ Innovation Competition

[June 2022] Paris, France – Plantibodies is proud to announce that it has been awarded a prize at the prestigious HEC Challenge+ Innovation Competition, where a jury of experts recognized the company as one of the most promising ventures of the year and the leading biotech/deeptech startup in the cohort.

HEC Challenge+ is a highly selective program that supports early-stage entrepreneurs in building high-growth, high-impact companies. Each year, dozens of startups from diverse sectors compete for recognition from the jury of investors, corporate leaders, and innovation experts.

Plantibodies stood out for its groundbreaking platform that enables mass production of biologics using plants as bioreactors. This innovation directly addresses major unmet needs in inflammations, cancers and infections.

“This recognition from HEC Challenge+ validates both the disruptive nature of our technology and the market need it addresses,” said Pierre Bauër, CEO and co-founder of Plantibodies. “We are thrilled to see Plantibodies acknowledged among the most promising ventures in Europe’s deeptech ecosystem.”

By earning this distinction, Plantibodies joins the ranks of past HEC Challenge+ winners that have gone on to become scale-ups and category leaders, strengthening its positioning within the European innovation landscape.
